Samurai II: Duel at Ichijoji Temple

After years on the road establishing his standing as the greatest fencer of Japan, Takezo returns to Kyoto. Otsu begs for him, yet he's come not but to challenge that the leader of the region's finest school of fencing. To establish his valor and skill, he walks deliberately into ambushes set up by the followers of the school. Akemi seeks him , expressing her dreams directly while Otsu waits. Takezo is celebrated by Sasaki Kojiro, a dazzling fighter that is young, convinced he could dethrone Takezo. Takezo declares his love but in a way that shames him dishonors her. He leaves alone.
